The 2025 season of the Indian Premier League did not turn out as expected for Lucknow Super Giants, but they did find some young stars. One of them was Prince Yadav, the pacer who displayed decent death-bowling skills under pressure in the high-octane league.

Prince Yadav Denies Social Media Rumours About Sanjiv Goenka

The cricketer was recently playing in the Delhi Premier League and now, in an exclusive interview with Sports Now, the pacer has opened up on his stint with Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025. He also talked about the team owner, Sanjiv Goenka, who has a bad reputation for putting his team under pressure after a video of him scolding KL Rahul went viral during IPL 2024.

Prince Yadav, though, denied any such claims and stated that there is no pressure on players from the owner of the team, Sanjiv Goenka. He added that it is just a social media rumour and there is no truth behind it. Prince Yadav also mentioned that the owner interacts with them very warmly during matchdays, putting aside the bad reputation that has been created since the previous season.

"There is no pressure on players from the owner Sanjiv Goenka; it's all just social media chatter. He interacts with us very warmly during matchdays," Prince Yadav told Sports Now.

Thus, the comment from the young player from the franchise indicates towards Goenka is being unnecessarily targeted on social media for one bad incident with KL Rahul. Sanjiv Goenka owns many teams across the world in cricket and football, and is an experienced person who has seen plenty of ups and downs.

Talking about Prince Yadav, he also opened up about one of his prized scalps of IPL 2025, Travis Head. The right-arm pacer mentioned that he did not bowl against the Australian with any reputation in mind and just wanted to do his best. The fast bowler would be hoping that he builds on his opening season and does even better in the next edition.
