As the semifinal stage of the upcoming Champions Trophy is coming close, the competition between the teams have become tighter. After a remarkable win in the first match, South Africa is holding the top spot of the points table in group B.

Before stepping into the next clash, the Proteas got a huge boost as Heinrich Klaasen has recovered from his elbow injury. Before the crucial match, South African skipper Temba Bavuma confirmed the news.

Klaasen Is Back To Roar

Before stepping into the Champions Trophy, South African side faced a setback as Heinrich Klaasen missed out the clash due to an injury. However, the Proteas registered a thrilling 107-run over Afghanistan. Klaasen’s participation in the clash against Australia was not confirmed. But now, as the team gears up to face the Jos Buttler and Co., captain Temba Bavuma has concerned Klaasen’s return to the squad.

“Everyone is good. Klaasen has recovered from the fitness (issue). That adds a lot of value and the team spirit is good.” Bavuma said.

Proteas Are Eyeing The Clash Against England

With 3 points, South Africa leads Group B but faced a setback as their clash against Australia was washed out. Their next clash against England will be extremely crucial as the losing team will be out of the semifinal race. Before that, Temba Bavuma reveals, they are keeping eyes on England’s performance against Afghanistan.

“We'll get to see them (England) ... when they go against Afghanistan. That will give us a better idea in terms of what the table will look like and what we need to do.” Bavuma said.

“I think that becomes another important game. England on paper are one of the stronger sides, so we know that as a group we'll have to play to our best.” he added.

On March 1, fans are set to witness a thrilling encounter as South Africa and England will face each other in their last encounters of the group stage. As the match is must-win for both sides as it will decide one of the semi-finalists. Both sides will try hard to conquer on the big stage.
