Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have made England's fast bowler Lauren Bell their most expensive signing at the WPL 2026 mega auction. The team secured her for a hefty ₹90 lakh in the mega auction. 

Lauren Bell, who last played the Women's ODI World Cup 2025, shared her excitement on joining RCB with a hefty price on her social media handle while wishing the fans.

At the auction, Lauren Bell was opened for bidding at 30 lakhs, to which RCB bid. Following RCB, MI got into the paddle war and raised the price to 90 lakh INR as RCB sealed the deal ultimately.

Following the exciting auction, Bell shared her enthusiasm on social media with the words. 

“Hey everyone, I’m super super excited to be joining RCB. What an amazing franchise to be a part of. I can’t wait to bring some fun and excitement… and play some amazing cricket. So yeah, I can’t wait to meet you soon," Lauren Bell shared on her social media.

RCB's strategic roping in of Lauren Bell

RCB specifically wanted Bell to power up their fast bowling. She will join other key players like Ellyse Perry and new teammates Nadine de Klerk and Pooja Vastrakar. The team's management might have seen her as a perfect fit for Indian pitches and believes she can take crucial wickets on home turf.

This new addition makes RCB's team for WPL 2026 look very strong. With a good mix of world-class international players and solid local talent, Linsey Smith and Shreyanka Patil will be the support of Bell as RCB looks forward to bagging another trophy after their 2024 victory.
