After retaining the majority of their core members ahead of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season. The likes of Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, and Ellyse Perry, the key members, were kept in the team as the RCB side aims to win their second WPL title next season.

After witnessing the highs in WPL 2024 season, when RCB first won the title, the Red Army had a disappointing season in 2025, and to rectify their past mistakes, the Mandhana-led side will aim to create a strong squad. RCB has a purse of 6.15 crore, and have retained 4 players in the team.

Conclusion

With the core members retained, RCB have built an interesting team for the WPL 2026 season. Six foreigners were purchased and with Anya Shrubsole the bowling coach, plenty of English players were roped in as well.

The batting looks solid on paper, but the bowling lacks a bit of depth and that could potentially come back to haunt them.
