'Stories Of Who You...,' - Krunal Pandya’s Heart-Wrenching Message On Father’s Death Anniversary

In a heartfelt message shared on Tuesday, January 16, Krunal Pandya, the sidelined Indian all-rounder, penned an emotional post on the third anniversary of his father's passing on social media. Himanshu Pandya, Krunal's father, succumbed to a cardiac arrest on January 16, 2021.

The tragic incident occurred while Hardik Pandya, Krunal's brother, was at home after returning from a limited-over series against Australia in 2020. Himanshu Pandya's demise took place in the morning due to a cardiac arrest. 

Krunal, who was participating in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with the Baroda team in Vadodara, received the news of his father's passing. He promptly left the bio-secure bubble, obtaining permission from the team management and the CEO to be with his grieving family.

In a poignant and emotional message shared on social media, Krunal commemorated the third anniversary of his late father's passing. The heartfelt post reflects the enduring impact of his father's teachings and the mark he left on the family.

"We miss you every day, papa. It’s been three years today since you left us. Despite your physical absence, your essence, the person you were, and the invaluable lessons you taught us linger in our hearts. Your teachings on ethics, hard work, pursuing dreams, and, most importantly, being a good person resonate with us,"  expressed Krunal Pandya in his tribute.

The emotional message highlights the enduring influence of the late father's wisdom, emphasizing the core values instilled by him. Krunal Pandya further expressed his intention to pass on these cherished lessons to the next generation, ensuring that the remarkable man his father was remains alive in their memories.

"I hope to pass on your wisdom to our children through the stories of who you were and the remarkable man you’ll always be in our memories. Once again, thank you papa,”  concluded Krunal Pandya in a heartfelt acknowledgment of the lasting impact his father continues to have on his life.

Following the loss, condolences poured in from the cricket community, with cricket legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Irfan Pathan, and Aakash Chopra expressing their sympathies on social media

Currently, Krunal Pandya is actively participating in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024 with his state team, Baroda. After the conclusion of India's premier first-class competition, Krunal is set to turn up for the Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming IPL 2024.
