Over the years, the Pakistan cricket team has made their fair-share of forgettable records but none like their most recent one. The nation hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 became the first team to be eliminated from the tournament after incurring two back-to-back losses to New Zealand and India.
Evidently, the water has reached way above its boiling point as the entire Pakistan cricket team has come under scrutiny for their poor performance. Among many criticisers is Pakistan's Rawalpindi Express aka Shoaib Akhtar, who did not hold his thoughts over Muhammad Rizwan, the current national team captain, back.

The former speedster slammed Pakistan’s white-ball captain, questioning his talent. In a recent viral video, Akhtar is seen involved in a panel discussion when he called Rizwan talentless while questioning his capability to lead the team.

Although, Mohammad Hafeez, a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer, stated that the team surely has talent but lacks proper planning. However, Akhtar immediately interrupted him and remarked:
“Where is the talent? I can’t see any talent in them. Speaking about Rizwan, I have been hearing this for the past 10 years, but I haven’t seen any talent in him. If there is talent, show it on the ground, this is not a talking game.”
End of the Road For Pakistan's Men In Green
The hosts have crashed out of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after failing to win a single match in the tournament. They first lost to New Zealand by 60 Runs followed by their most recent defeat to arch-rivals India by 6 wickets. Nevertheless, they are all set to play against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on 27 February.
