Is Rohit Sharma Fit To Play Against RCB On April 7?
Notably, MI will face RCB on April 7 at the Wankhede Stadium. It is just two days away and looking at Rohit's present situation, it doesn't look much promising. Further, Jayawardene revealed that they made Rohit took several fitness tests for LSG match but he felt pain as soon as he put weight on the knee.
He remarked that the MI management would monitor him for a few more days and then take a call.
"Rohit got a hit on his knee just in the IT band and he tried to bat yesterday, couldn't put any weight on it so again he came and did a fitness test early today to try and it was discomfort for him to bat, put weight on that so he felt that it wasn't 100% for him to play this game so that's why we precautioned," Jayawardene said in the post-match press conference.
"We thought to give him a few more days to try and get through that unfortunate what happened in the nets," he added.
Thus, analysing Mahela Jayawardene's words, then it doesn't look very promising that Rohit would be at his 100% against RCB.
