Now, after the first win against Bangladesh, Akash Deep, the pacer who did quite well in the opening Test, has rated Rohit as the best captain he has played under in his interview with the Times of India. Akash Deep has played under Faf du Plessis for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and plays for Bengal in domestic cricket. He has done well in both places and has now impressed in the two Test matches played under Rohit Sharma
Akash Deep Praises Rohit's Cool And Calm Attitude
Akash Deep said that he is lucky to play under Rohit Sharma and added that the Hitman is a different kind of captain and he has never seen such a captain in his life. The fast bowler also stated that Rohit Sharma is a cool and calm personality and the way he gels with youngster as a senior player is quite heartening to see.
"I always say that it is a matter of good fortune and luck to play under Rohit Bhaiya. I consider myself lucky to play under him. He is a different kind of captain. I have never seen a captain like him. He is the best captain I have played under. He is just a cool and calm person."
Akash Deep's Test Career So Far
The right-arm pacer made his Test debut against England in Ranchi and impressed straightaway with three wickets in the opening session of the Test match. The byte he got off the surface impressed everyone, and against Bangladesh too he was pretty impressive in the first innings. He got big wickets of Mominul Haque and Zakir Hasan and both were quality deliveries, and he is all set to play a big part in the big Test season that has just started for Team India.
