It has been a befitting farewell for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, as the two veterans have signed off from T20I cricket with a World Cup trophy in their final match.

India won the T20 World Cup after 17 years when they beat South Africa by seven runs. After the game, Virat and Rohit announced that it was their last game for the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the match.

Virat & Rohit received a grand welcome when they reached India and they were the most-talked about stars during India's victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium.

In the latest events, former India & CSK star Suresh Raina has made a special appeal to BCCI and urged Virat and Rohit to receive special treatment as MS Dhoni & Sachin Tendulkar.

Notably, Raina wants the apex board to retire jerseys No. 18 & 45 worn by Virat and Rohit. As of now, only Sachin and Dhoni's jerseys have been officially retired.

“I request the BCCI to retire jerseys No.18 and No.45. They need to have a special occasion where they keep these jersey numbers in their office. The number 7 is already retired, they should do the same for 18 and 45. Every person who sees the number should get motivated. The numbers 18 and 45 have won India games from so many situations that whichever player comes into the team, they should feel motivated by just looking at these numbers,” Raina told Jio Cinema.

During the victory lap at the Wankhede Stadium, Rohit and Virat also danced together celebrating their legacy.
