South Africa reacts to Bumrah’s controversial remark on Bavuma
Since the first day of India-South Africa started on a thrilling note, as players from both sides took the match to a different level. After South Africa lost some early wickets, the incident took place in the 13th over. As South African skipper Temba Bavuma was on the strike, Bumrah made a leg before wicket appeal against him.
While deciding to take the DRS or not, the stump mic caught Bumrah saying, “bauna bhi hai”. That remark, criticizing the South African skipper’s height, grabbed the attention. After the play ended on day 1, South African batting coach Ashwell Prince spoke about this.
“No, there will be no discussion. It's the first time, obviously, it's come to my attention. I don't think there'll be any issues with what's happened out in the middle,” he said.
