Former Pakistan captain and T20 World Cup winner, Younis Khan has 'hailed' Virat Kohli's knock in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa.

Kohli, who struggled throughout the T20 World Cup, brought his best in the finals and played a crucial knock of 76 from 59 deliveries, which propelled India to the title victory. He stitched a crucial partnership alongside Axar Patel and stood at one end as India won their second world title in the game's shortest format.

Younis Khan hails Kohli's T20 WC finale knock

Younis Khan, believes that Kohli's knock is rated highly because the runs came in at difficult situations, and it came when the team needed him to score big.

Younis Khan said - "I rate Virat Kohli's innings in 2024 T20 World Cup Final is very highly. Because he scored in difficult situations when team needed the most and big moments," Younis told News24 Sports.

Apart from Kohli, the Indian bowlers took wickets at crucial junctures as South Africa choked from a winning position.

Post the T20 World Cup, Kohli took a break and was spotted in London alongside wife, Anushka and his kids.

He'll next be seen in action during India's ODI series against Sri Lanka, which commences on August 2. Kohli, alongside Rohit will play their first ODI matches since the 2023 World Cup.
