Last night was a rollercoaster for cricket fans as Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings clashed in a thrilling showdown. Amid the intense battle, PBKS opener Priyansh Arya took all the limelight with a spectacular century at a crucial point.

After Arya scored the destructive ton, the cricket world praised him. But nothing stood out quite like the captain’s reaction. After the match, Captain Iyer hailed the opener's exceptional knock, describing it as ‘Out-of-the-world type of innings’.

Iyer’s Tribute To Priyansh Arya’s Sensational Century

Priyansh Arya was the one who made the difference for Punjab Kings last night. While batting first against the Chennai Super Kings, PBKS faced setbacks after losing 5 wickets in just 85 runs. However, after that, Arya’s brilliance turned the tide.

Amidst the struggle, the young batter stood tall and completed his maiden IPL ton in just 39 deliveries and played a thrilling knock. Witnessing the masterclass, PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer was left in awe, showering praise on the rising star.

The way Priyansh played was scintillating to watch. It was an out-of-the-world type of innings. When I spoke with him in the last game, he was a bit timid in his decision-making when he faced Jofra Archer,” Iyer said.

“Today, he backed his instincts. He was free-flowing, and that's the mindset I want everyone to have in this team. Basically, it was one of the top knocks I have seen in the IPL,” he added.

PBKS Is Yet To Play Their Best Game

Since the beginning of this season, Punjab Kings have showcased their brilliance. Even in the last game against the Chennai Super Kings, they performed brilliantly under pressure, sealing an 18-run victory. Yet, Captain Iyer believes the best is yet to come, emphasising the need to stay focused on the challenges ahead.

“We have not played our best game yet. The nerves are still there. We need to go back and do group catching sessions. But we won the game, and we need to focus on the positives,” he said.

With the last victory, Punjab Kings moved to the number 4 position in the points table. With their sights now set on Sunrisers Hyderabad, they are gearing up for another electrifying showdown, determined to clinch yet another thrilling victory.
