England's legendary fast bowler James Anderson has picked talismanic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the greatest-ever batter.

Notably, Anderson, a stalwart of English cricket, will play the final Test of his career when he takes the field in the first game of the three-match series against West Indies at Lord's.

Ahead of his final Test, Anderson had a chat with the UK's leading media agency, SKY Sports. During a Q&A session, the pace bowling stalwart named Sachin Tendulkar as the finest batter he has ever seen.

“The best batter I would have to say is Sachin Tendulkar," Anderson said.

When asked to pick the best bowler he has ever faced, the English great took the names of Glenn McGrath and Dale Steyn.

“The best bowler I faced probably Glenn McGrath or Dale Steyn. Hard to pick between the two. Slightly different bowlers, but both world-class," he added.
