Carrying a legendary surname often brings extra baggage, and naturally, expectations are sky-high for the young leg-spinner. Speaking to PTI, coach Sarandeep Singh has brushed aside the pressure talk, assuring that Aryaveer will play with a free mind, not a heavy name.
“Aryaveer Kohli is a rising star. He is quite young. There’s no baggage of the surname on the young lad. He’s a really good and talented kid. He’s been practising and putting in the hand work,” the coach said.

Fulfilling his big dream, Aryaveer has taken a major leap in his career after being picked by South Delhi Superstarz for 1 lakh in the upcoming Delhi Premier League. The young leg-spinner adds valuable depth to their bowling attack, giving a massive boost to the side. Now he is set to play under Ayush Badoni’s leadership.
Just not Aryaveer Kohli, Virender Sehwag's son Aryavir Sehwag is also set to grace the stage as the Central Delhi Kings brought him on board with a notable 8 lakh deal. In the auction, Simarjeet Singh secured the highest bid of the season of 39 lakhs with the Central Delhi Kings. Fans are all set for another thrilling season of the tournament.
