After a disappointing start, KKR's 24.75 crore star player Mitchell Starc bounced back strongly against DC, picking up two wickets of his countrymen David Warner and Mitchell Marsh.

Starc expressed his happiness at returning to form and contributing with crucial wickets. “Nice to have them (Marsh and Warner) in the pocket,” -This was Starc's response post game.

Facing a daunting target of 273 runs against KKR, the responsibility of chasing fell on the shoulders of Mitchell Marsh, David Warner, and Rishabh Pant for Delhi Capitals. It was the ideal opportunity for Starc to utilize his experience and dismantle DC's top order, as they were set to attack from the outset.

Starc capitalized on this, dismissing both his countrymen, Warner and Marsh, during the powerplay. This showcased Starc's value with his seasoned experience and skill set, justifying his big price tag.

Starc's 3-over spell against DC gave 25 runs and took 2 key wickets. Despite higher expectations due to his skill, considering KKR's strong IPL start and Starc's return to IPL after a long break, this performance will likely improve the confidence of the left-arm pacer.

KKR's Batting Carnage

KKR's batting onslaught began with Sunil Narine's explosive 85 runs off 39 balls, followed by 18-year-old Angkrish Raghuvanshi's rapid 54 runs off 27 balls. Later, the Caribbean powerhouse Andre Russell propelled KKR to their first-ever 250+ runs game with a thundering 41 runs off just 18 balls. Adding to the fireworks, Rinku Singh contributed with a fantastic cameo, scoring 26 runs off just 8 balls.

KKR has made a brilliant start to their IPL campaign with three wins in three games. Gambhir's plans seem to be clicking, and Kolkata is displaying promising form, echoing their performance from 2021 where they reached final.
