'Mustafizur Enjoys Playing IPL More Than Representing His Country,' Bangladesh Pacer

Bangladesh bowler Mustafizur Rahman is enjoying a successful stint with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He is leading the team's bowling attack with 11 wickets. 

Meanwhile, Mustafizur's close friend and national teammate, Shoriful Islam, believes that he prefers playing for CSK over the national team. 

"I think he [Mustafizur] enjoys playing in the IPL more than playing for the Bangladesh team. It is because the pressure is less there. Perhaps, there are a lot of expectations when playing for Bangladesh and you come under immense pressure if you don't play well" -Shoriful Islam said. 

Shoriful observed a contrast in Mustafizur Rahman's bowling form between national team and IPL matches. 

He suggests that the less stressful environment of IPL could be a factor contributing to Mustafizur's better performance in the tournament compared to his recent struggles in the national team. 

Having said that, the left-arm seamer will return to Bangladesh for his national duty after CSK's game against Punjab on May 1st. 

The Tigers are scheduled to play a touring Zimbabwe in a five-match T20I series, before heading to the USA and West Indies for a three-game bileratal and the T20 World Cup 2024.
