Mohammed Shami recently spoke about numerous topics during his interview with Shubhankar Mishra.

Shami, one of the best bowlers produced by India, has been a key player for the team in the last decade. The right-arm pacer has a menacing bowling record in the World Cups and is one of the most trusted bowlers of captain Rohit Sharma.

Shami on how Rohit fears facing him in nets

Recently he appeared in the Shubhankar Mishra Podcast, and talked about how players fear facing him in the nets. Pleasantly, he stated that Rohit Sharma avoids facing him in nets, however, Virat Kohli is always up for the challenge against him.

'Rohit Sharma to mujhe avoid krta hai (Rohit avoids me in nets). But I enjoy the contest against Virat. He likes to play good shots against me and I put a lot of efforts when I bowl to Virat to get him out."

Shami, last played for India during the World Cup 2023, wherein he finished as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. He only played 7 matches, and picked up 24 wickets at an average of 10.70. He played the tournament with a heel injury and underwent a successful surgery. 

Recently he posted a video on his Instagram, showcasing his recovery process.
