In a new development following the on-field spat between Prithvi Shaw and Musheer Khan, the Maharashtra cricketer has reportedly apologised to Musheer to end their dispute. The two clashed during a practice match between Mumbai and Maharashtra at the MCA Stadium in Gahunje, Pune.

According to a report by Times of India, Shaw realized he had overreacted and took the initiative to make peace.
"Prithvi realized his mistake, and approached Musheer and apologised to him. Prithvi told him that ' I am like an elder brother to you.' So all is well between the two," a source told.
Interestingly, Shaw and Musheer’s elder brother Sarfaraz Khan have been close friends since childhood, which helped smooth things over between the two young players.
The altercation took place during a three-day practice game where Shaw, who now plays for Maharashtra after moving from Mumbai, was in top form. He played a brilliant innings of 181 runs off 220 balls, reminding everyone of his batting talent. However, the mood turned sour after Shaw’s dismissal. As he walked back to the pavilion, Musheer reportedly said “Thank you” in a sarcastic tone, which angered Shaw.
Feeling mocked, Shaw turned around, argued with Musheer, and even raised his bat toward him in frustration. The umpire had to step in to calm the situation. The incident shocked everyone watching, and soon videos of the exchange went viral on social media. Later, both the Mumbai and Maharashtra teams confirmed that Musheer’s sarcastic remark had triggered Shaw’s reaction.
Despite this controversy, Shaw’s form remains impressive. The 25-year-old, who has been out of India’s national team for some time, has been performing strongly in domestic cricket. He continued his excellent run in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament, scoring a century on the opening day against Shardul Thakur-led Mumbai.
With his strong comeback performance, Shaw seems to be proving his worth ahead of the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2025–26 season.
