With the soon-to-start Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, all eyes will once again be on the one-and-only Mahendra Singh Dhoni, 42, who will lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for what could be his final time.

Many predicted IPL 2023 to be Dhoni's last, who played the season with a knee injury and ensured CSK won their record fifth title.

Another comeback man this season is cricketer-turned-commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu, who will turn back the clock and grace the audiences with his poetry on-air, who has praised Dhoni for his longevity ahead of the start of the season.

Speaking to Star Sports, Sidhu in his own fashion started off lauding Dhoni with a poem and then talked about the CSK skipper being nothing short of a miracle to guide the club to victories at this age.

'It is a miracle' - Navjot Singh Sidhu

"Sikandaar Halat Ke Aage Nahi Jhukta, Taar Toot Bhi Jaaye, Zameen Pe Nahi Girta, Girte Hai Hazaaro Dariya Samundar Mein Par Kabhi Koi Samundar Dariya Mein Nahi Girta'. It really is a miracle what MS Dhoni has done. Once you are not in the swing of things, you tend to lose out. You look at Dhoni, how many years he has not been in the swing of things, and he comes as if nothing has happened. Therefore, this adds to his greatness and his mental fortitude,”

Dhoni has been sweating it hard in the practice sessions and will look to start off their title defense with a win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), when the Southern Derby takes place on March 22 at M.A.Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
