On Wednesday, July 2, India will lock horns with England in the second of the five-match Test series at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The visitors trail 0-1, and ahead of this key match, players trained hard in the nets.

Amid the training and intensity, several light-hearted moments also made their way online. A couple of days ago, a clip featuring bowling coach Morne Morkel and seamers Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep went viral, in which the former South Africa star bowler was seen performing WWE moves.

Notably, Morkel, Singh, and Akash Deep were sitting together after a training session when, out of the blue, the bowling coach pulled off a few WWE moves and pinned the PBKS star.

The video spread like wildfire on the internet, and in the latest developments, Arshdeep has spoken up about the funny incident. The BCCI released a video in which Singh revealed that this was a new way introduced by Morkel to signal the end of the training session.

“Morne ne bola tha ki jaise hi tumhara session khatam ho jaaye, to main hamesha last move karunga, main tumhe pin out karunga aur uske baad koi practice nahi hogi (Morne had said that the moment our practice session ends, he will do a last move and he will pin me. Thereafter, there will be no practice),” said Arshdeep speaking to BCCI.

“Usne koi naya tareeka dhoonda hai din call off karne ka, aaj woh wahi karke dikha raha tha (He has found a new way to call off the day, and he was just showing us that),” he added.

Arshdeep Singh And Akash Deep Expected To Play in 2nd Test

Both Arshdeep and Akash Deep are in contention to feature in the playing XI of the second Test, as Jasprit Bumrah is most likely to be rested at Edgbaston.

Bumrah was set to play just three Tests even before the start of the series. The 31-year-old was part of the first Test, and now there are murmurs that the right-arm seamer might skip the second Test to focus on his workload.
