Both ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 finalists India and winners Australia will once again be in action on Thursday when they clash in a five-T20I series. Australia will be without several experienced players, while India, too, will be fielding a new-look side, making the contest mouth-watering.

For Australia, the hero from the World Cup 2023 final, Travis Head has stayed behind for the T20I series, along with Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa, who have been in India for over two months, baring the former, who joined the squad mid-way.

Mitchell Marsh, who traveled back to Australia, upon landed stated that Head's participation in the first T20I is unlikely, given the celebration they have had over the past few days.

Here's Mitch Marsh's Remarks On Travis Head

“I’m no selector or coach but if he plays that game it’ll be a miracle."

As quoted by Sportskeeda, Marsh also spoke about the infamous photo going around of him keeping his legs on the World Cup trophy, which has invited a lot of criticism.

"I haven’t seen a lot, but there you go.”

Overall, in six World Cup matches, Head slammed 329 runs, which included two hundred and a solitary fifty, apart from clinching two wickets.

Meanwhile, Australia withdrew David Warner from the T20Is and brought in all-rounder Aaron Hardie as a replacement. The first T20I will be played at Visakhapatnam.
