Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to clash in what is arguably the most crucial game of the season. Both teams are targeting for the 4th playoff spot.

While CSK only requires a win to secure their playoff berth, even a narrow loss would suffice due to their strong net run rate.

On the other hand, RCB faces a tougher challenge as they not only need to win but also by a margin that surpasses CSK's net run rate (NRR).

Kohli on why he won't bowl in IPL

Virat Kohli, the pivotal player for RCB tonight, has opened up about why he isn't bowling in the IPL.

Virat Kohli was speaking to Ex CSK man, Suresh Raina ahead of the clash vs CSK.

"Virat Kohli said, "in IPL, I'll never bowl. Fans were chanting 'Kohli ko bowling do' a few times, I joined my hands and said sorry. In the match where MI scored 200 in 15 overs, they were asking me to bowl. The confidence which I've in batting, that'll be over too"-Virat Kohli said.

Virat Kohli also threw his support behind Rohit Sharma in the disagreement over the impact rule, which has diminished the influence of all-rounders in the game.

Morkel Carnage vs Kohli  in 2012

Virat Kohli's bowling memories in the IPL aren't the fondest, especially after his encounter with Albie Morkel in 2012.  In a match where RCB was defending 205 runs, Kohli bowled the penultimate over against Morkel.

Unfortunately, he conceded 28 runs in just six balls, including three sixes and two fours, leading to CSK's victory despite RCB's strong position.

Following that thrashing, Kohli has refrained from bowling much in the IPL.
