Jaipur witnessed one of the best IPL matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Monday, April as Rajasthan Royals handed Gujarat Titans an eight wickets defeat to stay alive in the tournament. Before the start of the match, the critics had ruled out RR as the Men in Pink were struggling, while GT were placed 2nd on the table.
However, RR silenced the critics courtesy of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who slammed the fastest century by an Indian, that helped the Royals chased down a mammoth total of 211 runs. Gujarat missed Shubman Gill on the field as the GT captain was subbed off the field in the 2nd innings as an impact sub.
Gill had a brilliant night with the bat as the GT captain missed out on a well-deserved century and scored 84 (50), which featured five fours and four sixes. However, the Titans missed him as a captain and while there. were speculations over his injury, the right-hand batter broke silence on his absence during post-match presentation.
Shubman Gill Breaks Silence On His Absence

"I had a back spasm. We have a game after a couple of days. He said take rest. So, I sat outside. There were a couple of things that we could have done differently. But it's easier to sit outside and talk about it. There were a couple of chances that we could have grabbed," revealed Gill.
Notably, GT will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 2 and Gill assured that he will be totally fit for that match.
