Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza gave a stern reply when asked about whether Pakistan is the second-best team in Asia or not.

Sikandar Raza was pretty savage with his reply, and his straightforward response came out as a brave one, as he also underlined the fact that Zimbabwe beating Pakistan any day is not an upset for them as it is for the rest of the world.

Sikandar Raza brutally honest with his confession

Sikandar Raza was brutally honest with his candid confession in the press conference hosted after the former lost the opening match against hosts in the Pakistan T20I Tri-Series. Raza shared that it didn't really bother him thinking about which is the most ranked team in the Asian continent.

The Sialkot-born upheld his team as the number two in Africa. He also ruled out any personal opinion since he is representing his team, and his personal opinions don't and should not carry any bias with opinions.

“All I would tell you since I'm in a national jersey, all I would tell you is that Zimbabwe is the second-best team in Africa. I do not care who is the first or the second-best team in Asia. I would address that when I'm not in national jersey. Right now, all my focus and attention is it's a press conference for a Zimbabwean captain and all the questions that I will, and all I should answer is about Zimbabwe. I personally don't care who is the first or the second or the third or the fourth or the fifth or the tenth,” Raza replied.

Speaking further, Sikandar Raza claimed that he only cares about challenging the best team in Africa, which is South Africa, and says that Zimbabwe is the second top-ranked team in their own continent, and he feels confident with their skills. And no result of winning should be an upset for the team.

“All I would tell you, zimbabwe is the 2nd best team in africa & I don't give F about who is 1st or 2nd best team in asia(chuckles). It might be an upset for you as I can read the room, you people are not giving us too much chance to get to the final. For you guys, Zimbabwe beating Pakistan would be an upset but not for me” Raza confidently said.

Speaking of the match, Zimbabwe lost the match to Pakistan by 5 wickets as they totalled 147 in their innings, and Pakistan chased it down with 4 balls remaining. Important contributions were from Zimbabwe's Brian Bennett with his 49, and the skipper himself scored 34 runs with the bat.
