After two seasons of floating under the radar, Nehal Wadhera has his eyes locked on IPL 2025. And make no mistake, he’s not here to make up the numbers. He wants to make this season his own.

“This year, I've joined Punjab Kings, and I'm really looking forward to playing for my home team. Representing your home side is a special feeling for any player. When I was picked by Punjab Kings, it felt amazing-I was truly emotional. I'm eager to contribute and help Punjab Kings lift the trophy this season,” said Wadhera while speaking to Punjab Kings.

Wadhera’s move to Punjab Kings wasn’t just about geography. It’s about belonging. It's about that extra push you feel when you're wearing your colors, on your turf.

He’s been grinding it out, working on his game behind the scenes. Not one to shy away from flaws, Nehal admitted that he has been ironing out the chinks, tightening his technique, sharpening his stroke-play and turning his weak zones into scoring zones.

"I've focused on improving my weak areas-working specifically on the shots and deliveries that troubled me. My aim is to find more success this year and hopefully make this a breakthrough season,” added the southpaw.

Wadhera Heaps Praise On Iyer & Ponting

A good support system is worth its weight in gold. And Nehal’s got a dream setup at PBKS. With Shreyas Iyer leading the side and Ricky Ponting running the show, there’s enough cricketing wisdom in that dressing room to fill a library.
