On Saturday, arch-rivals India and Pakistan will go up against each other in a highly-anticipated Asia Cup 2023 clash in Pallekele, Sri Lanka. While Pakistan kickstarted their Asia Cup campaign with a massive win over Nepal, this will be India's first game in the showpiece event.

Ahead of the mega clash, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has come up with a good news for the Indian fans. Speaking on the pre-match presser, Sharma revealed that ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is in great rhythm and set to give his absolute best for the Men in Blue in this game.

The stylish batter from Mumbai also admitted to being relieved with Bumrah returning to the ODI setup days before the World Cup on home soil.

"Jasprit Bumrah is looking good, it's a very good sign for us".

Regarded as one of India's finest-ever pacers, Bumrah has 121 wickets to his name in 72 ODI appearances. However, despite being incredibly gifted, his career has been marred by frequent injury issues. The right-arm pacer sustained a career-threatening back injury, which ruled him out of multiple international assignments, including the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.

However, he recently made his much-awaited comeback, leading India to a comprehensive two-nil victory in the three-match T20I series against Ireland. Considering how he bowled against the Irish, Bumrah could emerge as a significant threat to the Pakistani batting lineup.
