The Indian cricket team is all geared up for their upcoming five-match T20I series following a dominant display in the ODI series against West Indies, culminating in a remarkable 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra recently shared his insights on the T20I series, set to commence on 3rd August at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad.

Chopra suggested that India's top three in the opening T20I match against West Indies could feature Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, and the promising Yashasvi Jaiswal.

'Jaiswal Can Bat at 3', Feels Aakash Chopra

"It will become a left-right combination as well but there is Yashasvi Jaiswal too. He also scored a lot of runs in the IPL. He scored a century and remained unbeaten in the 90s once in Kolkata against KKR. He is a very good player and played very well in the Tests."

"So will he get an opportunity here? I feel this will be a slight question for the Indian team management whether the three of them can be batted at one, two and three. I feel that will definitely be a temptation because Yashasvi Jaiswal is extremely talented."

Gill's inclusion appears to be a no-brainer, given his recent exploits and impressive performances in the IPL. On the other hand, Kishan's consistent run of four consecutive fifty-plus scores, including one in a Test match and three in the ODIs, further strengthens his case to partner Gill at the top.

However, the real intrigue lies in Yashasvi Jaiswal's potential position in the lineup. Chopra believes that the young prodigy might be slated to bat at the crucial No. 3 spot. Jaiswal's brilliance and standout performances in the IPL have earned him the reputation of an emerging cricket player, and his debut during the India tour of West Indies reinforced his potential.

As the swashbuckling southpaw prepares to embrace the crucial No. 3 position, it will be interesting to see how he performs the role. With India's dominant form in the ODI series, all eyes will be on the young prodigy as he aims to make his mark and contribute significantly to India's success in the T20I series against West Indies.
