After securing a comprehensive 2-1 win in the ODIs, India will cross swords against West Indies in the first T20I of the five-match series scheduled today at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad. The match holds significant importance for both teams, as a victory would provide them with a cracking start to the series.

So, as both teams gear up for the high-voltage clash, let's see what the venue's weather forecast says.

Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad Weather Forecast

The third ODI at the venue saw uninterrupted action between the two teams, as India crushed the hosts by a record 200-run margin. However, the T20I series could get a rain-curtailed start, as the chances of precipitation are high at the venue in the afternoon.

Although the temperature will vary between 24 to 31 degrees Celsius, Weather.com predicts 40 to 50 per cent of scattered thunderstorms between 11 am to 4 pm (local time). Therefore, unlike the 3rd ODI, the first T20I at Tarouba, Trinidad could be marred by inclement weather.

Talking about the surface at the venue, it was a belter to bat in the ODI series decider, as Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson made merry to power India to a massive 351-run total. However, as there are significant chances of rain, the toss-winning side will likely opt to field in this fixture.
