After an MCA official accused Prithvi Shaw of being undisciplined during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024, the Mumbai batter subtly rejected the claims with a cryptic story on his Instagram. Through a quote, he urged fans to stop believing in half facts.

The exclusion of Prithvi Shaw from the Mumbai squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy has sparked fresh debate on the young batter's discipline, fitness, and attitude. According to a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) official, who spoke to PTI on condition of anonymity, Shaw was left out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy due to repeated breaches of disciplinary guidelines.

There are more allegations related to his performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Shaw has reportedly been missing training sessions and returning to the hotel after midnight, which speaks for nights spent outside.

With Prithvi Shaw facing backlash over the MCA official's comments, he took to Instagram to shut down the haters with a cryptic story. He shared a quote that said:

"If you don't understand it fully, don't speak on it. Too many people have full opinions with half the facts."

Prithvi Shaw, who burst onto the international scene with a stellar Test debut in 2018, has seen a sharp decline in his career trajectory. Despite his early success, fitness and off-field controversies have overshadowed his talent, limiting his opportunities at the highest level. The 25-year-old's future in cricket remains uncertain, but his determination to prove his critics wrong may be the key to resurrecting his once-promising career.

Shaw reacts to Vijay Hazare snub

Prithvi Shaw earlier expressed frustration after being excluded from Mumbai's squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The 25-year-old opener, once hailed as a prodigy, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, highlighting his impressive List-A record.

"Tell me, God, what more do I have to see? If 65 innings, 3399 runs at an average of 55.7 with a strike rate of 126, I'm not good enough," Shaw wrote.

Despite being part of Mumbai's victorious Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign, Shaw struggled to deliver with the bat, managing just 197 runs in nine matches. His recent performances, coupled with fitness and disciplinary concerns, seem to have played a role in his omission.
