Former Australian spinner, Brad Hogg has tipped young sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal to be a whirlwind force for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. After a sensational performance that crowned him Player of the Series in the recent Tests series against England, Jaiswal's trajectory seems only to be ascending.

Brad Hogg tips Yashasvi Jaiswal as Rajasthan Royals' trump card for IPL 2024

Analyzing Jaiswal's journey since his IPL debut in 2020, Hogg has predicted a blockbuster season ahead for the prodigious opener. Yashasvi Jaiswal's partnership with Jos Buttler has become a cornerstone for RR, turning the top order into a fortress.

Despite RR's absence from the playoffs in 2023, finishing fifth, Jaiswal's personal accolades were numerous, including a historic fastest fifty in the IPL and a memorable century against the Mumbai Indians. With 625 runs under his belt that season, he was a formidable contender for the Orange Cap.

Hogg, diving deep into the RR lineup on his YouTube channel, identified two vulnerabilities but remained optimistic about their prospects. He admired the solidity brought by Jaiswal's burgeoning confidence, partly fuelled by his nascent Test career.

"I've been studying the RR team, and I could find only two holes in their lineup. They are set up by a very strong top order. Jaiswal has got extra confidence going into this particular season, the way his Test career has taken off. I think we are going to see the best of him in IPL 2024," said Hogg.

Meanwhile, as Rajasthan Royals gear up to open their IPL 2024 campaign against Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on March 24, all eyes will be on Jaiswal.

The young opener, riding the wave of his recent successes, is expected to lead the charge, with the team hoping to turn the tide from last season's disappointment.
