Now, Mark Wood, one of the fastest bowlers in world cricket, has also praised Rohit Sharma's ability to hit short deliveries. In the talk show called 'Stick To Cricket,' Mark Wood was asked who the most difficult batter he has bowled in his career is.

The English pacer replied by taking the name of Rohit Sharma. The fast bowler mentioned that he always felt that with his pace, he had the chance to get Rohit out with the short ball and added that the Indian ODI captain, on his day, managed to smoke it into the crowd. Thus, he found Rohit Sharma very difficult to bowl to and stated that he always felt that the Hitman has a big bat and it is getting wider.

"Yeah, in different stages of many career, I would say Rohit Sharma Difficult. Because against the short ball, you feel like you, for myself, I’ve got a chance of getting him out, but also if he’s on that day, he smokes it. So, he was difficult. I always felt like his bat was big, just kept getting wider," Mark Wood said on the YouTube Channel The Overlap Cricket.

Thus, Mark Wood, with his words, has once again emphasised the special talent that Rohit Sharma has. His clean hitting in the last few years has helped India lift the T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy 2025, and Indian fans would be hoping that he continues to do wll till the 2027 ODI World Cup.
