Former India player Yograj Singh has turned heads with his latest remark on India's legendary captain, MS Dhoni. While he is famously known for criticising the two-time World Cup winner (ODI and T20), he seemingly changed heart in his most recent interview.

Yograj Singh, the father of famous Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, appeared on the YouTube channel "Unfiltered by Samdish" to praise MS Dhoni's captaincy and also reveal his favourite qualities about the former India captain.

“I find Dhoni as a very motivated captain, who can tell people what to do. The best thing about Dhoni was that he could read the wicket can tell bowlers where to bowl. What I liked the most about him was that he was a fearless man," he said.

While recalling an old incident when Mitchell Johnson hit Dhoni, Yograj praised the five-time IPL-winning captain and highlighted that only a few people are like Dhoni.

“If you remember in Australia, he was hit on the grill by Mitchell Johnson and he didn’t moved a bit, he stood there and next ball he pulled him for a six. Aise log kaafi kam hote hai (There are very few people like him),” he added.

Yograj Singh Bold Remark On MS Dhoni

However, this interview is a stark contrast, as Yograj Singh's old interview sparked controversy when he alleged Dhoni was responsible for ending his son Yuvraj's career.

“That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more,” he said during and interaction with Zee Switch’s YouTube channel.

Back in the day, Yograj Singh, a right-arm medium pacer, toured Australia and New Zealand in 1980-81. In his sole Test against New Zealand, he took one wicket, finishing with 13 wickets in 7 first-class games.
