'Didn't Hear Dil Dil Pakistan...,' Pakistan Coach After Humiliating Defeat vs IND

Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur has expressed his displeasure with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) following his side’s seven-wicket larruping at the hands of Team India. The former South African-based player claimed that the arrangements made at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for India vs Pakistan World Cup 2023 clash heavily favored the hosts.

Arthur even stated that the high-profile World Cup 2023 showdown seemed more like a bilateral affair organized by the BCCI in India.

Mickey Arthur complains about lack of team music after defeat

While addressing the media after Pakistan’s crashing defeat, PCB’s director of cricket Mickey Arthur alleged that he did not hear team anthem ‘Dil, Dil Pakistan’ coming through the mics during match time at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Arthur claimed that the arrangements made for India vs Pakistan World Cup 2023 game made the proceedings seem more like a BCCI event rather than an ICC tournament. He said:

“It didn't seem like an ICC event tonight, it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn't hear 'Dil Dil Pakistan' coming through the mics too often. I won't use this as an excuse.”

It is worth noting that the iconic Ahmedabad venue hosted over 1,30,000 fans for the blockbuster showdown, where a majority of the attendees were, unsurprisingly, Indian supporters.

As the stadium basked itself with a sea of blue, numerous Pakistan cricket fans are still awaiting a clearance for their visas from the Indian government in their bid to travel to India for the 2023 cricketing carnival.
