YouTube sensation IShowSpeed, also known by his real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr., attended the majestic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to support Team India in their high-profile World Cup 2023 showdown against Pakistan. Watkins Jr. arrived in India earlier this week to meet singer Daler Mehndi as well as batting legend Virat Kohli.

A day after catching up with Mehndi, the prominent YouTuber attended the iconic Ahmedabad stadium in a bid to meet his cricketing idol.


IShowSpeed sports India’s World Cup 2023 jersey, supports Virat Kohli

IShowSpeed attended the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to showcase his support for Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team in their World Cup 2023 faceoff against Pakistan. The 18-year-old wore India’s World Cup 2023 jersey, and was seen cheering the ‘Men in Blue’ alongside other spectators in the stands.

It is worth noting that the iconic venue was graced by over 100,000 cheering fans for possibly the most-awaited match of the tournament.

Unfortunately for the American YouTuber, his wish to see Virat Kohli in action did not last long as the batting veteran was dismissed for just 16 in the Indian run-chase. The cricketer belted three boundaries in his short-yet-entertaining stay at the crease, while his skipper Rohit Sharma guided his side near the finishing line with a scintillating fifty. 

At last, Shreyas Iyer ended the chase with a boundary India chased down 193/3 inside 31 overs.
