Ex-Chennai Super Kings superstar, Suresh Raina, was in awe about the fan favourite, the man who makes every stadium in the country look like his hometown, MS Dhoni as the 42-year-old went all guns blazing against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians on Sunday evening at the historic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

The stadium and people from all over the country went bonkers as Dhoni came in to bat against MI for the last four deliveries of CSK's innings and his ex-teammate was no exception. As Thala came in and scored three back-to-back sixes against Hardik Pandya, Chinna Thala couldn't resist becoming the hype-man of his captain on social media.

Raina lauds MSD

After the match, Raina heaped praise on MS Dhoni and reckoned that his innings was the point of difference between the two teams.

The 37-year-old posted a picture of Dhoni and captioned it "Dear Thala, Just the joy of watching you finish...🤩#csk @mahi7781." He also tweeted the same thing, quoting CSK's video of MS' three sixes.


Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians on their home turf by 20 runs and got the bragging rights in the rivalry until the next game.

Mr IPL, Raina currently is working with JioCinema as a broadcaster after retiring from all competitive cricket in 2022 while Chennai's own, Dhoni also looks at the cusp of retirement after this season.
