Ahead of Match 30 of IPL 2024 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday, Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to field first at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

In two significant developments, du Plessis confirmed Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj have been sidelined for this fixture. In their absence, Lockie Ferguson was given the debut cap for the Virat Kohli-starred side.

Interestingly, Siraj is part of the impact substitutes while RCB are bowling first, probably because they need someone to fill the squad, or maybe for a surprise pick.

RCB are placed at the bottom of the points table, having won once in six matches. SRH, on the other hand, have won three in five matches, helping them sit fourth on the table.
