India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav has congratulated Rohit Sharma after the latter led Team India to 2025 ICC Champions Trophy win in the UAE. Taking to his Instagram account, Suryakumar hailed captain Sharma for adding “another feather” to his “massively decorated” hat.

Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, Team India outclassed New Zealand by four wickets in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The legendary Indian opener himself led charge and muscled 76 runs at the top of the order from 83 balls to bag the ‘Player of the Match’ award. The ‘Men in Blue’ also remained unbeaten throughout the competition to clinch their third Champions Trophy title.

Suryakumar Yadav praises Rohit Sharma before IPL reunion

India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav has congratulated national ODI captain Rohit Sharma after the latter led the ‘Men in Blue’ to an unbeaten 2025 ICC Champions Trophy campaign in the UAE. Taking to his Instagram account, Suryakumar wrote:

“Our captain does it, again! Good things happen to good people and Rohit Sharma is one of the nicest, most supportive and approachable people out there. Congratulations on adding another feather to your massively decorated hat.”


India defeated New Zealand by four wickets and an over to spare at the Dubai International Stadium to bag its third Champions Trophy title. Moreover, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, Team India has now clinched two ICC trophies in a row, considering they also won the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies last year.

Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma will now be reuniting for the Mumbai Indians franchise in the upcoming IPL 2025 season. With no international action in sight for Team India for some time, the IPL 2025 season will run from March 22 to May 25.
