Zimbabwe cricket star Sikandar Raza's heartfelt response to a fan suggesting he play for Pakistan is winning hearts online.

Raza, who debuted in 2013 against Bangladesh, has been a crucial player for Zimbabwe, participating in 17 Tests, 142 ODIs, and 91 T20Is, amassing 7,378 runs and 188 wickets.

A fan recently asked him on X, “Have you ever thought about playing for Pakistan? You could help resolve the middle-order batting woes.”

Sikandar Raza's reply was touching and clear: “I am a born Pakistani and a product of Zimbabwe Cricket. I will only and ever represent Zimbabwe.”

He added, “Zimbabwe spent time and money on me, and I am only trying to repay their faith. Whatever I achieve will never come close to repaying it. Zimbabwe is mine, and I am theirs fully.”

Raza’s loyalty and gratitude toward Zimbabwe Cricket have struck a chord with fans. In a recent five-match T20I series against India, Raza captained Zimbabwe, leading them to an initial victory.

However, the series ended 1-4 in favor of India. He is currently playing for Manchester Originals in The Hundred 2024.
