The thrilling T20I series between Pakis and the West Indies has become an end as the Men in Green bagged the series by a 2-1 margin. After winning the decider T20I by 13 runs, the Agha and Co. kept the domination alive.

After sealing the series win, Shaheen Afridi was seen in a deep conversation with Sufiyan Muqeem, where the Pakistani spinner shared insights on their preparation and reliving the thrill of the hard-fought victory.

How Sufiyan Muqeem Keeps His Cool When Pressure Peaks

After starting the series with a victory, they faced a heartbreaking defeat in the next match, but the Men in Green rebounded in the third T20I match and secured the series with a 13-run victory. In the entire series, Pakistan spinner Sufiyan Muqeem showcased his consistency and his exceptional bowling in the decider T20I made the difference.

After they secured the win, pacer Shaheen Afridi engaged in a candid conversation with spinner Sufiyan Muqeem. In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Muqeem responded to Shaheen’s questions, opening up about how the team’s belief in him fueled his standout performance.

“First of all, thanks to Allah that we won the series and thanks to everyone who prayed for us. I just tried to stick to the plan given by the coach. The seniors and coaches know which conditions suit me best. I keep working hard and focus on improving for those specific conditions,” Muqeem said.

Looking Back At The Triumph In The Final Showdown

After posting 189 on the board, Pakistan faced a real scare as Rutherford and Alick Athanaze led a fiery fightback. But at the right moment, Pakistani bowlers made the difference with their bowling brilliance. While reflecting on the final game, Muqeem revealed his secret.

“Today’s game was quite difficult because the ball wasn’t breaking, so I bowled hard lengths and by Allah’s grace, it worked,” he said.

In the 18th over, Pakistani spinner Sufiyan Muqeem swung the momentum by snaring the key wicket of Jason Holder while conceding just three runs, a game-changing spell. While talking about those pressure moments, Muqeem lauded Shaheen Afridi’s effort in the second T20I.

“Bowling in the last overs is always tough. Like in the second match when you bowled, we could have won that game, but it just wasn’t in our fate,” he added.

After struggling with their form for a long time, Pakistan’s recent triumph gave the team a huge boost to the team’s morale. As the ODI series is commencing soon, they are setting their eyes on the upcoming challenges.
