On Wednesday, England pacer Stuart Broad created history becoming the second pacer after countryman James Anderson to pick 600 international Test wickets in the ongoing fourth Test against Australia in Manchester.

Broad in 166 Tests for Three Lions, has 600 wickets since 2007, and has flourished under the new Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum regime after being dropped by the previous one. The Nottingham-born's 600th dismissal came in the form of the dangerous Travis Head, who also became his 149th Test wicket against Australia; the highest for any England bowler.

As quoted by Yorkshire Post, speaking after play on Day 1 of the Old Trafford Test, Broad said that he is addicted to Test and feels delighted over claiming his 600th scalp from the James Anderson end.

Here's what Broad said

"Never in my dreams did I think that would be a thing. It’s got a nice ring to it, getting my 600th wicket from the James Anderson End. There’s something pretty special about that. I have definitely got an addiction to Test cricket and the competitive side of it,"

In 14 Tests, the 37-year-old has claimed 87 wickets since the appointment of Stokes and McCullum, which only displays Broad's faith in the dynamic duo.

The pacer further explained how he is currently enjoying his best Test year, and credited Stokes and McCullum for the change.

"Ultimately Baz and Stokesy have given me a new lease of life in a way. It is such a free changing room. There is no fear of failure or judgement, it’s about moving the game forward and that suits me. I owe a lot in the last 14 months to the way Baz and Stokes have brought energy to the group.

I have been able to match that and move myself forward as a player. I have found it really enjoyable, I would argue it’s been the most enjoyable year of my Test career which is an awesome thing to say at 37 years old."

England holds the edge over Australia in the fourth Test, having reduced the visitors to 299 for 8 on Day 1, with Chris Woakes claiming a four-fer.
