India Women scripted a rare history by defeating Australia in a lone test match last week. In an intense clash, Indian bowlers held their nerves to bowl out the Aussies twice and registered its first-ever test victory against the mighty opposition. 

After the win, Indian captain Harmapreet Kaur has been earning a lot of praise from across the country. Under her leadership, the team registered back-to-back test wins against England and Australia in a span of a couple of weeks.

She infused resilience and aggressive intent into the team, which led to multiple commendable wins. Kaur's never-give-up attitude reflected on his team when they fought back against the mighty Aussies.


Muzumdar Lauds Harmanpreet Kaur's Leadership Skills

Having said that, ahead of the white ball series against Australia, Indian women's team head coach Amol Muzumdar attended a mandatory pre-game press conference and spoke highly of captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

He said that Kaur has been nothing short of an inspiration for not only the girls back in the dressing room but also the future generations to come. Amol also added that the skipper is the glue that holds the unit together, and the rest of the squad kind of rallies around her.

According to Amol Muzumdar, Harmanpreet Kaur has been a source of inspiration to her teammates for many years now. The coach revealed that the girls in the dressing room look up to her, and she carries that aura of a senior leader, motivating her teammates to follow her lead.

Not only that, Muzumdar revealed that Harmanpreet Kaur shares a lot of insights with the younger generation, and that is a quality of a true leader, and it's only natural for her teammates to kind of rally around her.

Overall, the head coach opined that Kaur's tenure as a captain has been fantastic so far, and he is only looking forward to achieving more success with the current team.

The ODI series between India and Australia will commence tomorrow at Mumbai's Wankhede stadium.
