Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) assistant coach, Lance Klusener, has dismissed any notion of discord between captain KL Rahul and team owner Sanjiv Goenka ahead of their match against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 14.

Recently, there was much chatter surrounding KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka. Following a defeat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the main figures of LSG appeared to engage in a heated exchange, with Rahul receiving a verbal dressing-down from the team owner.

Speculation arose suggesting that KL Rahul would be relieved of his captaincy duties for the remaining matches of the season, although this was promptly refuted by another insider. 

The purported rift between Goenka and Rahul has stirred considerable interest among fans and pundits alike.

However, Lance Klusener sought to downplay the situation, characterizing the interaction between the two as merely a passionate discussion rather than a full-blown confrontation.

"I see no issue with a spirited discussion between two cricket enthusiasts. For us, it's much ado about nothing. It's not a big matter for us,”  Lance Klusener said during the pre-match press conference.

While conflicts between team owners and players are not uncommon in sports, the public airing of grievances is relatively rare, even in the IPL, known for its occasional controversies.

LSG had already refuted claims of discord and Rahul relinquishing his captaincy. These assertions were reaffirmed by assistant coach Lance Klusener, reinforcing the team's unity amidst external speculation.
