Pakistan cricket is going through a turmoil currently with the national team underperforming in the last few ICC tournaments. There performances at the Test level have also been quite below-par and overall despite continuous changes, things are going downhill for Pakistan as a cricket nation.

Waqar Younis Shows Legendary Stats With Wasim Akram

Various former cricketers are coming up with brutal remarks on the state of affairs of Pakistan cricket and Mohammed Hafeez recently dropped a bombshell by criticising star players from 1990s. Hafeez stated that he respects star players of Pakistan from 1990s without taking names, but mentioned that they did not left any legacy by winning an ICC tournament and that did not help the cricket in the country.

Though the former right-handed batter did not take any names, it looked like he was targeting Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, the two star bowlers of Pakistan. Now, Waqar Younis  has come up with a savage reply on his official X account where he has stated the combined stats him and Wasim Akram.

The stats showed that both of them played 191 Tests and 618 ODIs combined and picked 1705 wickets which included 66 five-wicket hauls and also picked 10 or more wickets in the match ten times.

The reply by Waqar Younis shows that Hafeez's comment did not go well with him and it clearly hurt his pride. Waqar Younis was the head coach of Pakistan too for sometime, but left the job after some differences with the board, and the same story has continued in the last few years, with PCB struggling to create a stable arsenal on and off the field.
