Travis Head started his IPL journey with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2015 but he did not get a chance to showcase his brilliance. He then moved to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the 2016 and 2017 seasons, where he played a few important knocks and displayed his potential. 

However, he went unsold in the following seasons until Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) picked him up in 2024, and this turned out to be a match made in heaven.

It is important to note that Travis Head has played for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2025. He was retained by SRH for ₹14 crore. This season he played 13 matches and made 374 runs at an average of 31.16 and strike-rate of 162.60.

Travis Head may not have been the captain, but his presence in the team was enough to inspire confidence among others as well this season. His bold approach with the bat helped SRH dominate in 2024. Along with Abhishek Sharma, he formed one of the deadliest opening pairs of the tournament.
