There are a few world-class bowlers, who have managed to crack the code of the shortest format and are making noises at the greatest level along with the world's top leagues like the Indian Premier League. 

Not only they have been able to restrict the batters, but they have been good enough to deceive the best batters in the cricket world.

The right-arm seamer, Deepak Chahar, who plays for the Chennai Super Kings, has been one of the premier bowlers for them in the last few years. With amazing seam positioning, Chahar has managed to wreak havoc with his swing against the best batters, especially with the new ball. 

Chahar is one of the prominent contributors to the CSK team and has been a part of three IPL-winning CSK teams. In 75 matches, he has scalped 75 wickets and six out of these have come in the very first over of the innings, which is the fifth most wickets in the league since the year 2020.

The right-arm fast bowler, Mohammed Siraj, has been the frontline bowler for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last few years. RCB has always been on the back foot when it comes to having quality seamer, but over time, Siraj has turned himself into a gun bowler for the team. 

Earlier, Siraj used to go for too many runs but after working on himself, he became one of the most lethal powerplay bowlers and even at the death with the cutters. In 82 matches so far, he managed to pick 80 wickets. Since 2020, Siraj has scalped seven wickets in the very first over, which is the fourth-best among all the bowlers.

Whenever there's a discussion about seam positioning, one cannot leave Mohammed Shami behind. 

With utmost accuracy and skill, Shami is known to deceive the greatest batters with his swing bowling and even helped the Gujarat Titans win their maiden IPL title in their inaugural season. 

The right-arm seamer has played for Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in the past and now he is a crucial member of the GT squad. He was the purple cap holder of the IPL 2023 season with 28 scalps. 

When it comes to picking wickets in the first over, he comes at the third position with eight wickets under his belt.

The right-arm seamer, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is known as the swing king in the cricket world, is one of the greatest new ball bowlers India have ever produced. He has been an integral part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team and even was a key player in their run to the maiden IPL title in the year 2016. 

Bhuvi has mastered it all, whether it is bowling the over upfront or at the death, he is one of the most skilful bowlers in terms of variations he has. 

In his IPL career so far, he has scalped 170 wickets in 163 games and eight of them have come in the first over since the year 2020, which is the second most among all bowlers.

The Kiwi superstar, left-arm seamer, Trent Boult has been one magical bowler. The amount of swing he gets from the new ball is a skill that a very few could master. Be it Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli or any other renowned batter, he has dismissed them all. 

He was also a part of the IPL 2020 winnings team Mumbai Indians and was awarded the Player of the Match in the final.

When it comes to bowling overs upfront, he is the most successful bowler since the year 2020, with 25 scalps under his belt and that too in the very first over of the innings. 

The difference between him and the bowler with the second most wickets in the first over is 17 wickets. This proves nothing but how great of a bowler Boult has been in recent years.
