Most fifties for Bangladesh in T20Is [Source: @ICC/X.com]
Bangladesh’s rise in the T20I format has been well documented by big sixes and match-winning knocks, especially from extraordinary players. Similarly, scoring a fifty in T20Is is not easy. It requires a balance of patience and aggression.
Over the last two decades, several Bangladeshi stars have managed to pile up multiple fifties, keeping the Tigers competitive on the global stage. But now Bangladesh’s new T20I captain, Litton Das, has rewritten history.
On that note, here's a look at the Bangladeshi players with the most fifties (and over) in T20Is.

The newest face on this list, Tanzid Hasan, has quickly made a name for himself in T20Is. In just 31 matches, he has already hit 6 fifties and scored 738 runs at an impressive average of 27.33 and strike rate of 129.02.
His fearless batting style and ability to attack in the powerplay have made him one of Bangladesh’s most exciting young talents. If he continues at this pace, Tanzid could soon challenge Litton and Shakib for the top spot.

Former Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad was the backbone of the middle order for many years. With 2444 runs in 141 matches, he is one of the most capped Bangladeshi players in T20Is. Mahmudullah has made 8 fifties with a top score of 64 not out*.
He may not have the flashy tallies of some other, but his calm presence in pressure situations often saved Bangladesh. His career strike rate of 117.38 speaks volumes about how he adjusted to various match situations.

Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh’s former opener, was the country’s first true T20 batting superstar. In his 74 matches, he scored 1701 runs with 7 fifties and 1 century, making him one of the few Bangladeshis to have a T20I hundred.
His best score, an 103 unbeaten, indicated how lethal he could be on his day. Although Iqbal retired from T20Is in 2022, Tamim’s records still stand tall. His aggressive batting style set the stage for the next era of openers
2. Shakib Al Hasan – 13 Fifties

Sharing the top spot is none other than Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh’s greatest all-rounder. In 129 T20Is, Shakib has accumulated over 2500 runs with 13 half-centuries. His average of 23.19 may not be enormous, but given his double job of being a world-class spinner and middle-order batsman, his contribution is invaluable.
Shakib’s ability to hold the innings together and switch gears in crunch moments makes him one of the most dependable players Bangladesh has ever produced.

Bangladesh’s newly minted T20I captain Litton Das now tops the list with 14 half-centuries in T20Is. Since his debut in 2015, Litton has become Bangladesh's hottest and most attacking opener. With more than 2400 runs in 110 games, his strike rate of 126.39 confirms that he can put on the foot pedal when the situation arises.
His highest T20I score is 83, and while he hasn’t scored a century yet, his consistency at the top has made him Bangladesh’s go-to opener in big matches. His last half-century came against the Netherlands, which helped him surpass Shakib and conquer the elite list.
