Pakistan cricket team, once the dominant cricketing nation, has lost its spark lately due to repeated failures in big ICC events. However, in the T20I format, Pakistan relatively has done well, qualifying even for the finals of the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup.

Nevertheless, Pakistan, over the years, have won many emphatic victories in the T20I format, including some wins by huge margins in terms of balls remaining. It not only shows that Pakistan is very effective in chasing but also reflects on their ability to break the opponent's line up. On that note, let's look at the 3 biggest margin victories Pakistan achieved in their T20I format history.

Back in 2009, Pakistan registered a 6 wicket victory with 41 balls to spare against New Zealand at the Oval Stadium in London. The matchup occurred during the T20 World Cup, where Pakistan bowlers bundled New Zealand for just 99 runs. Umar Gul shone brightly with a five-wicket-haul in just 3 overs.

Abdul Razzaq also added with 2 wickets to close the Black Caps to a mediocre total of 99 runs. Meanwhile, the men in green were in a hurry in the chase. After a stable start from the openers, Shahid Afridi hammered 29* runs off 18 balls to steer Pakistan to a 6 wicket victory in 13.1 overs. With 41 balls to spare, the victory stands as Pakistan's third-highest margin of wins in T20Is.

Pakistan beat New Zealand by 7 wickets with 47 balls to spare in a bilateral T20I match held earlier in April 2024. In the 2nd T20I of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan held at Rawalpindi, the Kiwis were down to 90/10 in the first innings after ace pacer Shaheen Afridi wreaked havoc with the new ball. He picked up 3 wickets in 3.1 overs, followed by 2 wickets each from Mohammad Amir, Abrar Ahmed, and Shadab Khan.

While the chase was shaky owing to Saim Ayub and Babar Azam's early wicket, Mohammad Rizwan slammed 45 off 34 balls to steer Pakistan to a 7 wicket victory in 12.1 overs. The margin of 47 balls is the second-highest marginal victory the men in green ever registered in their glorious T20I format history.

In unbelievable dominance shown by Pakistan, the men in green beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the second T20I of the 3-game series held in December 2024. With the series on the line, Zimbabwe crumbled in a humiliating collapse. Despite a 37-run opening partnership, Sufiyan Muqeem stunned the host team with a 5-wicket-haul in 2.4 overs.

Besides the openers, no Zimbabwe batter could score in double digits, resulting in a 57/10 collapse. The chase, meanwhile, was a cakewalk for Pakistan. Omair Yousuf and Saim Ayub went all guns blazing to secure the game in 5.3 overs, resulting in their biggest margin wins in T20Is. With 87 balls still left on the board, Pakistan stamped their authority to seal the 3-game series with an inaccessible 2-0 lead.
