Over the years, Pakistan has produced several bowling icons. Umar Gul is one of them. In 2007, he made his T20I debut against Kenya and played his last T20I game against New Zealand in 2016. He played 60 T20I matches for Pakistan and secured 85 wickets. His best bowling figure of 5/6, came against New Zealand in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20. He holds the fifth position of the highest wicket-takers list of Pakistan in T20 cricket.

In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Shaheen recorded his best-ever T20I bowling record of 4/22 against Bangladesh. He is the third-highest wicket-taker of Pakistan in the shortest format.
