On Saturday, December 21, Punjab's Anmolpreet Singh scripted history as he smashed the fastest century in List A cricket by an Indian. He took just 35 balls to smash a century against Arunachal Pradesh in the first round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
He broke Yousuf's Pathan's long-standing record to script this feat. Overall, Anmolpreet became the third fastest batter in the world to script this massive feat, so let's look at the top five fastest centuries in List-A A cricket.
5. Graham Rose -36 balls
Graham Rose held the record for the fastest century in list A cricket for a long time after he smashed a 36-ball century in 1990 against Devon. Featuring for Somerset, he scored the first fifty in just 16 balls and took 20 balls to reach the next fifty.
4. Corey Anderson- 36 Balls
In international cricket, Corey Anderson broke Shahid Afridi's record for fastest ODI century when he took just 35 balls to smash a century in Queensland against West Indies in 2014. At present, it is the fourth fastest century in List A cricket.
3. Anmolpreet Singh - 35 Balls
Anmolpreet, who went unsold at the IPL 2025 mega-auction, took just 35 balls to smash a century against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. It is the fastest century by an Indian in list-A cricket and third overall.
2. AB de Villiers - 31 Balls
In 2014 itself, de Villiers broke Corey Anderson's record to script the fastest century in ODI cricket. To date, de Villiers holds the record after he took just 31 balls to stun West Indies in Johannesburg.

Australia's new batting sensation, Jake Fraser-McGurk holds the record for fastest century in List-A cricket, as he took just 29 balls while playing for South Australia against Tasmania in 2023.
He is the only cricketer to smash a century in list-A cricket for less than thirty balls.
