Ex-Sunrisers Hyderabad batter, Anmolpreet Singh scripted history on Saturday in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Arunachal Pradesh. The talented batter smashed all records as he hammered the fastest List-A hundred by an Indian.
Anmolpreet took only 35 balls to reach the landmark and his blistering knock included 11 fours and 8 sixes as Arunachal bowlers had no answer to his brilliant onslaught on a batting paradise.
Arunachal Pradesh batted first and posted a meagre 164 on the board. In reply, Punjab came out all guns blazing and the assault was led by Anmolpreet Singh as he went berserk and smashed a quick-fire hundred as the opposition bowlers were left helpless.
He remained unbeaten at 115 off 45 balls as the target of 164 was chased down inside 13 overs and this knock wold have given the Punjab batter loads of confidence heading into the next match.
With his 35 ball century, he broke the record of Yusuf Pathan, who had previously slammed a 40-ball ton Vs Maharashtra in 2010.
Fastest List-A hundreds by an India

Anmolpreet eclipsed the previous record holder, Yusuf Pathan. Pathan's record stood for almost 14 years as the talented Punjab batter finally breached it.
The third spot is occupied by Urvil Patel, who last year came very close to breaching Pathan's record, but couldn't achieve it. Interestingly, he also smashed his century against Arunachal Pradesh, last year. After the hammering given to Arunachal, Punjab will next face against Nagaland on December 23.
